Heroes Square

Budapest's downtown is fully packed with the world's most wonderful sights and landscapes, but one really stands out of them all: the Heroes' Square is not only a very busy tourist attraction, but also the best place to take photos from! And we are not the only one whose saying it: the place is also a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The square is located next to the City Park at the end of Andrássy Avenue and consists of statues of the greatest Hungarian kings, national leaders and the Seven chieftains of the Magyars.

There is one statue that stands out from afar in the middle: it shows archangel Gabriel with the Holy Crown of St. Stephen and with an apostolic two-barred cross in the other.
